I would be very interested in the opinions of Winnebago/Itasca owners re the overall quality of their coaches (gasser and DP). My impression is that the quality is reasonably good and that, as with all other brands, the quality of the dealer service and factory support can make all the difference. We are definitely impressed with some of the unique floorplans as well as the exterior design of many Winnebago/Itasca coaches, especially the new Suncruiser.

Thanks for your comments.

WE HAVE 2006 ITASKA SUNCRUISER 38FT GASSER..VERY HAPPY WITH IT..LIKE ANY MH OR PRODUCT IN THIS DAY AND AGE THERE ARE ALWAYS QUALITY PROBLEMS.OURS HAVE BEEN MINOR ...FRIDGE,SEAL ON REAR WHEEL,HAD NO PROBLEMS ON SERVICE.WAS VERY SATISFIED.....HAD MONACO DEISEL PUSHER AND ONLY GET ABOUT 1 1/2 MILES OR 2 LESS PER GALLON AND THE POWER ON THESE NEW GASSERS ARE REALLY GOOD..WENT OVER ROCKIES AND DIDNT SEE APPRECIABLE DIFFERENCE...OF COURSE JAKE BRAKES ARE A LITTLE BETTER BUT HAS ENGINE BRAKE AND HAD NO PROBLEMS..LOVE THE HIGHER CEILINGS,THE BASEMENT AIR.DRIVER SIDE DOOR,ENGINE HEATER THAT HEATS WATER AND REST OF COACH WHILE DRIVING,ORS HAD SAT DISH,ELECTRIC FIREPLACE,SINK AND MIRROR IN BED ROOM FOR MY LADY.2 DR FRIDGE WITH ICE MAKER.WE ARE GETTING READY TO RETIRE AND TRAVEL MORE,SO WILL REALLY ENJOY IT NOW...GOOD LUCK,DONT THINK YOU WILL GO WRONG....AND AS FAR AS DEISEL GOES ..MY OWN OPINION IS IF IT LASTS 800,000 MILES WHO CARES WONT LIVE THAT LONG AND WHO DRIVES THAT MANY MILES.AND ALSO THE PRICE OF DEISEL IS WAY TO HIGH AND WILL NOT CHANGE AND ALSO THE INITIAL COST OF DEISEL OVER GASSER IS REDICULAS ..THE HIGHER COST FACTOR IS WHY EVERY ONE BRAGS ABOUT DEISEL HAVING HIGHER RESALE VALUE..YEAH IT OUGHT TO IT IS 40,000 HIGHER TO START WITH......GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY CAMPING WHATEVER YOU DECIDE...

Winnebago (and Itasca) just celebrated their 50th year of producing motorhomes!

That says something about quality, customer service, good product and dealer support!

We have a 96 Winnebago Adventurer with one slide. Purchased used in 2001 and we have had good luck with only minor problems. Previously we had a Triple E product which was also very good. If you like the floor plan, go for it. We will be at Bronte Creek (Oakville) in a couple of weeks, should you wish to discuss in more detail.

We have owned two Winnebago's and found the quality to be very acceptable. We have had normal supplier items that needed repair such as the inverter and central vacume but the Winnebago"house" has been trouble free on both Winnebago's. If I buy again I will look at them first because of the excellent experience I have enjoyed.

We have a 2007 Itasca 38T Suncruiser. Both of us are extremely pleased with workmanship, quality and performance. What more can I say. Love It.

I have a 1993 that seems to be well built. I had reason to contact the manufacturer regarding some wiring, I was very impressed as they sent me all the drawings for my model. I had a Tiffin which I had heard was well made also. This seems to be of the same or better quality.

Many thanks for all your positive responses. As I snoop around, Adventurer, Suncruiser, Triple E Commander, and Tiffin Allegro Bay keep jumping in front of my eyes as possible "next motorhomes".

Thanks again,

Bill

Take a ride to Forest City , Iowa, and go through their factory. It will tell you a lot about Winnebago Industries. Only 900 miles from you. Makes for a nice vacation trip.

We are on our second Winnie. For a production model you can't beat the experience in design and assembly. IOW they know (or should) what works and what doesn't. I hang with a lot of Winnebago Itasca owners and when one has a problem particularly on the same model the information is rapidly shared and if needed the dealer addresses it. That's where the after purchase service comes in. W./I. does a good job of maintaining their dealer network and keeping them up to date on issues. Hope that helps and yes I will get another of their products.
