I'm a new Jayco owner and was wondering if anyone has this.
The dealer was trying to sell it to me, they said think about it for a few days.
They have told me the warranty is transferable to the next owner.
It seems to cover everything (Labour and parts) with a $50 deductible.
They are asking:
5 yrs $1,411, 6 yrs $1,452 and 7 yrs $1,501.
Prices are in CND funds.

Just looking for input on this.
I will be email Jayco to see if the warranty is transferable.

Thanks

From my perspective...we've had 7 Jayco's over the past 30 years...the two (and only two!) issues we had were a power convertor and a worn thru pez water pipe, both fixed under the 2 year warranty. Other that, nothing that I couldn't take care of myself. Save your money, unless you want to admit to all of us that you don't know how to screw in a burnt out light bulb without directions printed on it!

I agree completely.. I would never buy anything that I really felt needed that type of warrany "insurance" coverage. I prefer to be self insured, and buy quality products. Warranties are nice, things that don't need them are better.

Exception: home, life, medical, RV liability, car. Can't afford not to on these. Too many lawyers lurking about.

I think that the 2 year warranty Jayco gives with it's products is good enough.

My dealer explained the warranty and said to wait until my 2 year warranty was about to expire and then decide if I wanted it at that time. I usually don't buy extended warranty's and if I add up all the money I've save over the years not buying extended warranty's I could buy a new trailer.

They make a ton of money on those deals. Also will the company behind the warentee be there in 7 years? They are not usually issued by well known companies.

Is there a big difference in the premium if you purchase it now versus waiting until the 2 year manufacturer's warranty is almost up?
