Here I go again with my quarterly post. Any new info on the owners of 3 seasons opening a new resort? There was hope previously, but I believe that didn't go through. Rehoboth Beach needs a nice CG.

If that's the one I visited when I was down in delaware last Spring, the property has been sold and converted to condos or townhouses or something. And the other campground I saw down there (I can't remember the name) was a dump with roads so tight I don't think that it could accomodate anything largr than 15 feet.

We had been camping there for over 20 years...sure miss it...hope the owners reconsider and open another campground in the area...unfortunately land is so expensive in that area that it may not happen, or they might not want the challenge...we've stayed once in the "parking lot" at indian river...big oaks, no way...and holly acres was really bad...might need to travel further south to the ocean city area next trip...keep your fingers crossed for a new 3 seasons...

The dump was probably Holly Lake and your description is to kind. A piece of summer disappeared with 3 seasons.

I think it's over folks. Talked to a man at the Atlantic City RV Show last month who has a new CG just below Milford DE. He said he bought a lot of their equipment from the old 3 Seasons. Don't know how he is going to make out. Sounds like he will be mainly wanting seasonals and it is 20 miles to Rehoboth. http://www.cedarcreeklandingcg.com/index.htm

You know we bought our camper just prior to 3 seasons closing and never made it down there. We are not huge beach folks but last year we camped in NJ at Big Timber Lake and went to Avalon to the beach. We loved it. The Cg was nice, and Avalon is a beautiful town. We may try a different Cg this year just to be closer to Cape May, but it we would still love to 'beach it' in Avalon. There are other options out there since the best option in Rehoboth is gone.

We just got back from a camp ground in that area. It was Cedar Creek Landing. It is a brand new campground, it just opened in May. It was very clean everything is brand new. The sites are roomy but no shade. We drove through some of the ones in the area and they are complete dumps. This new one is very nice. Not many people there since they are just starting out. Very clean and a nice pool, which we needed with the 97 degree temperature. You should give it a try.

3 Seasons is history and no plans in the making. Yes Delaware Seashore State Park is a parking lot, but it has hookups. Don't forget Cape Henlopen State Park. The sites are big enough for most and it is a very nice CG. Yes I realize it would be tough for most due to no electric, water only sites, but other than Holly Lakes and Big Oaks, it is all you got to choose. Heck, Rehoboth Beach is nothing but a traffic jam anyway. I know because I live here...

Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping
