Camping means different things to different people. There are campgrounds designed for all different kinds of campers. These snobby campgrounds are designed for snobby campers. Wouldn't you prefer that the snobby campers are all together in their own campground, rather than next to you?

FWIW, when you stop judging people by what they come in and where they go you might meet some nice folks.

Public parks seem to have the fewest rules and the most "diverse" customers.

In private parks you play by their rules, but you usually pay a little more which is often worth it for obvious reasons.

We've had good and bad experiences in both. You just learn and move on.

I say be thankful we live in america and have the freedom to choose between, rv resort, family style camping, camping in the boonies, etc. If you don't like the resort, older folks only, then don't stay there. Nothing makes me more mad than arriving at a campsite in a beautiful location and listening to screaming children all day riding up and down on their big wheels that make more noise than I can believe. So I enjoy the quieter no kids places to stay.

I've often thought why can't campgrounds have designated kids only sections, people with pets with the people with kids and pets in the middle and then the no kids no pets on the fringes somewhere. Probably a logistic problem, but may improve the stays of some folks.

I have two dogs, and yes they bark at other dogs when they walk by, but then they are done barking. Some people may not like listening to dogs barking occasionally... We all have to put up with certain things we don't like for the privilege of living in a civilized society. Be thankful for what you have and that you can enjoy the rv lifestyle in whatever capacity that makes you happy.

Happy camping...

To me it's not much different than home, I had to put up a fence around my front yard to keep the neighbor kids from riding across my lawn on their bikes. I would "educate" my kids if I caught them doing the same thing, but not all parents are the same. I watch how mine interact and how others do. I prefer to spend time with mine because they are a joy but would be "busy" if I were to have to spend time around some folks kids just because it isn't any fun for me OR my kids...

I couldn't care less about the restricted campgrounds, to each their own. I stay where I prefer to stay. At an area state park we stay in a certain area that has more amenities and does cost more, but WE feel the price is worth the extra room plus other campers are further away...geeze, I sound like a snob, don't I?

Ahhh! The freedom of choice. The choice that a campground owner has when creating their policies and the choice we have to camp where we want to camp.
It's what makes this a great country in which to live.

Here's what I wish for - a snobby resort for Class B's.

Luxuries can be fun!

Heading for one of our favorite CC's, we pass by one of the Posh, Resort, only Class A, type CCs. Yes, I like the look of the layout, and large fountain in the center, but I don't meet their criteria. Fine and dandy. I have a computer, yes it's true, and can do a little research and pick a CC that seems to fit me, or our reason for that camping trip. I may go to diff. type places if we have lots of family going with, or like this weekend when I am going alone, just to decompress from a tough Spring at work. Americans never like to be excluded from anything, it's just our way, but I still have choices, and excersise them. So, it's not a biggie to me.
