RULE NO 1.................NO MILITARY............NOT EVEN RETIRED....DISABLED........OR ACTIVE.....................
If that is true, then you document it and send it to the appropriate person at the State Attorney General's office. Violation of state law, they'll get busted and you can be on your way. You don't even have to do anything further about it. The investigators will handle it all, as the complainant is the State.
Had a property owner try to pull that during GW I. Israeli guy, of all things. It was over that pay delay to reservists. It was all kinds of illegal, for starters. And I had a VN vet in my household and b-i-l in the Gulf. So I immediately accepted all pending military apps (half dozen), trashed the paperwork showing their military status, erected a flagpole out front, and we ran the colors up the following morning. He fired me (VERY expensive flagpole - sunk in concrete), the people got their apartments, he got stuck waiting several months for rents to come in on year-long leases, and I got a gig for twice as much money the next day that led to better things. BOO-yah! Most fun I ever had getting myself fired, lol, and well worth it. Shoot - I'd do it again, just for fun. Days like that sure don't come around often...
Thanks, you made me laugh. Haven't thought about that in years.
As to the eviction thing - if you can't get an eviction in well under 90 days in CA, you don't know what you're doing and should hire an attorney. If you do know what you're doing, it'll cost less under $200 and be over quickly. I did hundreds of them and never lost a single case.
I learned through experience to worry a whole lot more about people who drive a brand spankin' new high-end vehicle and own******furniture. Those are people who like to put on a big show on somebody else's dime - including yours, if it comes down to it. Following that logic (which definitely applies to regular properties) I'd probably look twice at the guy with the high-end gear who dresses poorly or behaves in an uncouth way, unless I found a better way to pick 'em. But I'd take military any time for business reasons alone. Evictions don't go over too well with superiors, and every one of 'em knows how to make scratch when they need to.
To each his own.Folks that live in guard gated, walled, and deed restricted communities need a place to camp too. I wouldn't camp at a fancy resort or live in a deed restricted neighborhood. There are just too many B$ rules for me.
Let me just say that I would rather have this RV age rule where I live (it is only for the long term camper side of the park) I don't want to live next to an older, run down RV. Don't jump all over me now. I know there are sharp looking, clean older RV's out there, and I also know that the owners are neat and responsible. But the campground owner here has had too many that aren't, so a rule had to be created and enforced. There are several older RVs in here, but because this rule is only a few years old, these units were "grandfathered" in as long as they are kept clean and in good repair.
Now just to set the record straight - if you camp here, it doesn't matter what your RV looks like. This age rule is, again, only for the "long term" section.
Humm, lets see...
The biggest whinners and complainers here won't stay in "snobby resorts" (ironic the ones that would never stay at "one of those places" are the most judgemental)
The "snobby resorts" are looking better then ever...
