Picasa2 (download free from Google.com)is superb. Easy to use, intuitive, powerful, and does a great job of organizing photos on your computer. I use it as my primary photo collecting & editing tool even though I have other much more powerful programs for occasional special purposes.

Depends on what kind of editing, but Paint (free, with Windows) works ok for simple stuff.

Photoshop is the standard in the photography field. There is a basic version called Photoshop elements.

Vista has a 'built-in' simple editing systen (lighting, color) with its photo viewer. More editing - I have had photoshop elements for several years. basic editing is fairly staightfrowrd but it can be as complicated as you want to make it. Picasa is also fairly staright forward.

I use this site. Very simple, and you can also use it to post photos on this site.

I got the picasa program off of google and it's awesome..we have 2 different brands of camera's, I can download both camera's and can edit all pic's with this. and it also goes through your entire computer and pulls all pic's...this is sooooo cool found pic's I had forgotten about. And you can also do web albums with this.
