If you want to be in the middle of everything then go for Circus Circus. Have stayed at Sam's Town, to me its just like a parking lot. We now stay at the Oasis Rv resort. It is a few miles south of Mandaly Bay.( technically still on the strip) Clean, movie theater, small golf course, three pools with beach entrance, large dog walking area. www.oasislasvegasresrt.com The sites around the large dog area have poor Wi-Fi, when I was there a few months ago. You can check on the Wi-Fi reception by speaking to a staff member in the convenience store, they have a map, before you ask for a particular site number.
Hope this helps.

I have stayed at both Sam's Town and Circus Circus. Sam's Town is better and off the Strip. Still close enough to unhitch and drive into town. Both have their advantages.

I think we'll head for Sam's Town as we aren't interested in anything but a place to spend the night. Thanks for all of your replies!
