The DW and I fulltime in a Ragen fiver, which I have converted into a comfortable home. But some of the equipment is designed more for weekend use, so I am upgrading where I can. One room in the home that needs improvement is the loo. It came with a Sealand Traveler Lite, lite on features, size and function. I prefer an elongated seat, which leads to the Thetford Aria. A search revealed that the Aria Deluxe tends to have gremlins. Does anyone have an informed opinion about the non-electric Aria Classic?

Thank You

Peter

We switched to the Sealand Concerto. It is electric, but that wasn't a problem.

The whole toilet structure is one piece of ceramic. It is large and sturdy and comfortable with the longer bowl.

If you don't mind the electric, you might want to take a look.

I just installed that model (aria) non electric. Nice can. Real easy to install. Didn't attach to flange. 2 large wood screws attach to floor.

Well, knock on wood, I have the Aria Deluxe and have had no problem with it in the 4 years I have owned it. The problems others have had are generally from slow water leaks that allow water to drip down on the electronic control board. That shorts it out and causes the toilet to flush continuously. If you get that one, then put a cover over the control box to shield water from entering it. One fellow removed it and the remounted it with the wire connections pointing down thus preventing water intrusion. I really like the unit.
