Hookups are a problem for me. The 50amp electric cord, in freezing weather is difficult for me to roll up. If your rig will use a 30 amp power cord, you might not have these problems. I even asked Monaco about converting the rig to two 30 amp cords, like my boat uses. No luck there.

My rig has the dreaded 50amp cord too, so I bought a 30 to 50 amp "dog bone" reducer, and a 25 foot 30 amp "extension cord" available at most RV supply stores. Now, when I hook up, I just leave the heavy 50 amp cord rolled up in the basement and thread the connected 30 amp cord to the hook up. Hope this helps you!

I would like to, but we have a washer/dryer and so on. Even at home I have it plugged in on 50 amps.

I was interested in having CW install the auto rewind cord for 50 amps, but saw the price to install and said forget it. I do have a 30 amp cord that is 25 ft long, and the pig tail to connect it, but we use a lot of power.

Thanks for idea though.
