We don't have a mat for under the awning of our new HTT yet. i'm thinking about one of those woven awning mats that so many people on here rave about. However, it seems like they would very slippery if it rains and even from dew. Does that cause problems for anyone?
It also seems like they might be slippery with some flip flops.
Any other "problems" i should be aware of??
Thanx in advance!!

If you are referring to the PVC woven ones, we have one, and I have never really felt that it got slippery. It is flexible enough to contour to your feet and the ground as you walk, and it doesn't absorb water which makes it easy to hose down and store in a reasonable amnount of time. I think they are nice.

We have one of those plastic woven. Ours doesn't get slippery and it easy to clean - just hose it off. Easy to store - folds right up. Works great.

I like that the dirt just falls right through them. We have never noticed ours being slippery either.

I have never had a problem with slipping on the mat.

The problem with the mat is that it blocks sunlight, and possibly air and moisture from the grass below.. So you end up with dead grass if you lay it down too long, even a day or two and the grass suffers, Even with the best of them.

On the other hand when I'm parked on dirt or blacktop.. Very nice to have that mat to step out on.

This is good to know. Like kwuj, I had wondered about whether they are slippery. They're good-looking and probably easy-care, so we may end up with one as well.
