You could try a foam mattress topper. They have them at Camping World, we got the thinner one last year and it was better but I should have just gotten the two inch thick one.

We have a 3" memory foam mattress topper and it makes such a difference. Other the the RV Queen bed being too short and my feet hanging over the edge, the camper bed is as comfortable as my home bed!!

We just found the same sad bed in our new fiver. Went to Sam's Club and got their 3" topper, and their padded mattress cover so we don't feel the heat of the foam. Queen size topper $130, padded cover $20.

Topper is the only way to go. Costco is around $99.

So if I go to Sams to seek a 3" topper, what size do I look for? Queen?--Full?

What they said. I was just at Costco last week and picked up a Novaform topper for around $135. It is 2.5" and came packaged with a 1.5" microfill pad built into the cover. I have the same pair on my bed at home, and slept like a baby in the trailer last weekend. I still need to cut a few inches off the topper and have the girlfriend remove the same number of inches from the pad so it fits perfectly (potentially difficult due to the zipper). I also want to find someone who sells high quality, high TC sheets that actually fit an RV queen, but what I've got now is certainly functional enough.

Most mattress places can order you an RV queen mattress and the prices I was quoted were not much, if any, different than regular queen mattresses. However, like most good quality queen mattresses the price quoted was in the $500 to $1200 range...makes $150 or so for a topper seem pretty inexpensive. We laid an open sleeping bag on ours and put the sheets on over it and the result is a pretty comfy bed.

Bought a 2" memory foam topper from Overstock.com and it is great for only $70.

we just went to wally world and picked up their 2 inch pad that is half memory foam and the top half is that egg shell pad. It did help alot and only cost $30. Cheap and helps. Not the best but sleep better.
