How are the bugs around the first of April?

We are thinking of going next Srping Break to Skidaway.

Last week at St George you could not sit out side for the NoSeeums.

DW and I have been to both Ft McAllister and Skidaway Island a couple of times. If you want visit Savannah then I would stay at Skidaway, but if you are just looking for a place nearby then I would stay at Ft. McAllister. My answer is just based on convenience to Savannah. Both parks are nice and either would be a good choice.

We stayed at Skidaway last week for 4 days. The sites were huge and level. All the sites are pull thru. The knats were not bad, we used a campfire, candles and skin so soft. This was one of our best trips yet and will without any doubt go back. The park was quiet and dark at night. We drove to the park on Tybee to look, most sites were so close you could not use your awning, some were right on the street, a little to close for me. Have never been to McCallister but I hear it is nice, my vote is Skidaway.
