With a little practice, you can slip your flip flops off, stand on top of them, dry off your feet, and then slip them back on without stepping on that cold wet concrete.

OK, you caught me. actually now that you mention it, that is exactly what I do.
but now that I am a little bit more clumsy, don't know if I can do that anymore.

We always use campground showeres when available. We have a shower in our Roadtrek, but rarely use it.

This is an important issue for the Class B crowd. We always use the CG showers, as do most other B owners. We look at the bathroom ratings in the Trailer Life Directory when selecting a place to stay. On trips, we also take a break from the RV every 7 to 10 days and stay in a motel. One time we stayed in an expensive "historic" Bed and Breakfast with a "quaint" antique bathroom. I couldn't stand up in the shower! Turned out to be a big disappointment as we had been camping w/o hookups for quite a while, using CG showers, and looked forward to the luxury of a hotel. An advantage of using the CG shower is easy cleanup of the bathroom! When people select an RV they overlook this kind of thing. With a Class B you spend less time taking care of your rig and more time traveling and enjoying life.

Is it possible the owner of the campground wasn't being quite honest? It sounds like an excuse for having showers further away than is reasonable.

For my first month of rving, I used the CG showers, hauling stuff back and forth.

Then I discovered my teeny shower could accommodate me. I love it!

But, when I arrive home, I take a looooooooooong shower.

To each his own, we look forward to not having to stay in a hotel and sleeping on someone elses bed and using someone elses bathroom. We make an exception and take that looonnnggg campground shower.
