This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can't stand word math problems, just delete now. This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus
Each girl has 7 backpacks
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats
For every big cat there are 7 little cats
Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

Wrong, you forgot the bus driver: 10,992!

49 bags with 56 cats in each bag..56x4=224x49=10,976
7 girls=14 legs.....................10,976+14=10,990
1 bus driver........................10,990+ 2=10,992

I don't see where it says the 7 little cats are ON the bus.
49 bag x 7 big cats x 4 legs = 1372 + 14 for the girls = 1386 total legs

The original question didn't state that the bus driver was on the bus or that the bus was moving which would imply that the bus driver was on the bus so 10,990 would be the correct answer to the question as stated. We can't assume something not in evidence.

With that many cats on the bus you can bet that I, a bus driver, won't be on the bus. There wouldn't be enough room.

The original question also doesn't state that the backpacks (and thus the cats) are in the bus.

Given the only fact that is clearly stated is that seven girls are in the bus, the correct answer would be 14.

Don't try to read what if's and hidden legs into the problem. Nothing was said about the bus driver being on the bus. The correct answer is:
10,990 - congrads to accsys, AZLetendre, and OzarkPreacher.
