Thinking of staying in the Sunshine RV park in Santa Barbara. Has any member stayed at this park. hear it is very near the SR101. Don't want to go up in the mountains would like to stay in or near Santa Barbara.
Thanks

YES it is next to the 101. Smack Dab in the heart of SB. Although a bit little bit of a drive and you can camp @ the beach in Carpintria. Or Move North to Buelton ( Flying Flags Rv )

Good Luck!

Sunrise RV Park is the only one in Santa Barbara. If you want to be in the city, you have no other choice. If you have a large RV (36+) tell them that you want to be in the back facing the back street. The park is by 101 and somewhat noisy and tight at the entrance. Be careful if you have a toad. Disconnect in the street before getting in. We stayed there for 5 days and have no complaints.

Other campgrounds a little north of Santa Barbara are El Capitan State Beach, Refugio State Beach and Gaviota. They are by the beach.

We stayed there on our way home from San Diego. It is not bad, but they are the only game in town. It is kind of a deep lot with a narrow U shaped drive. You park on dirt and 2" river rock.(more dirt than rock). It is convenient if you need to be close to town. You pretty much have to drive anywhere you want to go.
Have fun!
