I am trying to find someone that sells (reasonable) Aux Fuel tanks (gas) I have been looking all over. I want to put in the bed of my truck in front of the 5th wheel, behind my tool box. I have seen some (L) shapped tanks that would slide under the tool box, but all have been diesel. Help!

Hi,
The rules have changed. It used to be you could add a gasoline tank and hook it up and it was legal. Now there are requirements to not lose any of that fuel to evaperation. For instance, the 2005 E250 was allowed to lose 1 gram of fuel every 24 hours - there are 28 grams in 1 ounce, 132 times that in a gallon, so it can only lose 1 gallon in about 4 years. Older cars allow the loss of a gallon or more per year from evaperation do to it's poor sealing and carbon filters that try to absorb the fuel vapors.
With diesel, there is less of a problem from evaperation. So it is much easier to control.
I suggest looking for a larger under the bed fuel tank, but not an auxillary one for a gas truck, unless both tanks are set-up with the proper vapor sealing system.
Transferflow.com The same link as above.

transfer flow is for the deep pockets folks. Nice, but I cannot get into that category.
look and see what Northern Tool has.
Also you could call RDS t Perry FL and talk to a tech rep and see what kind of set ups they might have that still exist. I got a diesel tank from them and it is labeled right on the side that it is aproved for Unleades gas.
i donno.

Agree with Dave - Transferflow is really nice . . . and really expensive!

IMO - look into the "alternatives" - they're there.

Tractor Supply also has tanks. There are also companies in Texas and Florida that make tanks.
I'm looking for the one that fit against the front of the truck bed, full width but only about 8 inches deep.

Most after market fuel tanks like a transfer tank are notlegal for gas. I have a diesel with a 105 Gallon transfer tank and tool box combo and in all my searching tanks have not seen any legal to put gas in for use tied directly to truck fuel system. Look at Northern tool on the internet. With my tank and my factory tank I carry 140 Gallons of fuel and can travel 1800 miles before refueling
Good luck
