Thanks for all the replies, We aren't rednecks although we hail from the south. We're just old hippies, retired. We first traveled in a converted step van in 1971 taking about a year traveling this beautiful country. No crowds back then. We were young and life was new. Feels new and fresh again.
We've decided to put in a floating laminate floor. Looks beautiful. We also completely took out the dining benches and will use chairs.
Any other remodelling tips are appreciated.

It sounds like you have decided against painting the floor but should you change your mind again I would consider the epoxy paint they use on garage floors. Paint the solid color on and then broadcast color "chips" over the epoxy and then it let dry. You might still notice a bit more noise and I don't know how the epoxy would work on plywood as it is normally used on concrete.

Laminate is great and comes in so many styles. The self locking is great and installation is so easy. I also found some vinyl that looks like wood and comes in six inch by three foot pieces with sticky strips to allow you to lay a floating vinyl floor. I got it at Home Depot and used for a home office that has large rugs but also enters from garage so takes the abuse from outside wet and dirt. It was quick to install and looked fine for vinyl. Not wood or laminate but quiet and very functional. Friend redid his BT cruiser with it and it looked great. Cork is great as it is functional and oh so quiet. So many options these days in light weight, good looking and easy install.

If you want to cut the weight. Don't fill the fresh water tank completely full. Put just enough to get by on and cut about 8lbs per gal. from your coach weight. Don't ever carry black and grey water when you leave a campsite. Just enough is the black and grey tanks to keep them wet.
