With gas prices what they are, we are looking for places closer to home. I saw a travelogue that featured The Parks at Chehaw in Albany Georgia. When I looked it up, the costs seemed very reasonable. Anyone been there?

I haven't been there but stay in a truckstop there in Albany on hwy 300. I like boondocking and this is a good place to stop if U do to.

Been there about 7 years ago. Neat little park with a on site zoo, miniature railroad and bmx track. Had some neat bmx weekends there. Only issue encountered was the electrical. Make sure you use a surge surpressor.

Do a search.
There were some bad reviews a while back on this park.

We stayed there this past weekend and it was fine. They need some general maintenance (remove Poisen Ivy and Ants from play areas), but as a place to chill and not do much it was great. We spent one night, but I would consider doing it for two. The Bathroom/shower area is not up to par enough for me & the Family to use, but thats why my camper has one built in. :-)

Did not do the zoo, but did ride the little train and they have a nice kids play ground.

Good Luck.
