Would I have any difficulty driving in Yellowstone in a 21' Chinook?

Driving, no problems at all. Parking can be a challenge or impossible for anything larger than a minivan at some areas during the day.

I don't think you will have much problem with an RV that small.

We have had or 28 foot Coachmen Class C there and have had little trouble as long as you use common sense. The one place you may have limited parking is in the pull offs in the areas where wildlife is commonly seen. This includes the Hayden Valley and the Lamar Valley. There are some large pulloffs in Hayden Valley but not nearly as many large ones in Lamar where most of the wolf watching takes place. Lots of RV parking around the major geyser basins such as Old Faithful, Norris and the Paint Pots area.
Your experience will depend a lot upon the time of year you visit. We were there last year in late August and by then most of the families with school age children are back home getting ready for the fall term. This makes driving and visiting the major attractions much easier. Smaller crowds, less traffic, easier parking. After Labor Day it is even better but much later than that and the weather can be more unpredictable. Whenever you go, you need to be prepared for any kind of weather. We have been snowed upon in July in the park and on another vist had our brains baked in 104 degree weather.

Excellent advice from 2hams. We had a Chinook years ago (a '73) and took it to Yellowstone. No problems on the road, really just like driving a big van. You'll see plenty bigger than you out there! Just be prepared for extra-expensive gas; gas stations in/near the park are usually quite a bit higher than in the surrounding areas.

I am a regular visitor to Yellowstone and all the above are correct. I try to go over Labor Day weekend and usually enjoy great weather and no bad crowds and traffic

I went this last summer at the end of August in a 23' Aspect. I had no problems driving or parking anywhere (except when we encountered a herd of buffalo). The park was fairly quiet since many schools are back in session in mid-August. Speed limits are low throughout the park (~ 30-35 mph) so you just have to step on the brake every once in awhile.
