We made Topsail reservations for June back in September. I pulled out the reservation sheet yesterday and went uh-oh because it says the site we are assigned to is 50 amp , and we use 30. Do they have both plugins at each site, or do I have a big problem?
I would be so upset to have to cancel our reservations!

They have both and you can buy an adapter for $20.

Bigkatuna is right. Each site
has both 30A and 50A. But you
should buy an adaptor so that
IF you ever get a site with
50A only (not likely) you can
plug in.

Thanks! That is what I figured, but I knew someone on here would know. We are very excited about our 3 week adventure in Florida- Topsail, Anastacia, Manatee Hammock, and Fort Wilderness!
We do need to get an adapter for just in case. That will go on my list of things to buy.
Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about the adapter too much. In all my travels in hundreds of campgrounds I have only run across two CG's that had 50 amp only and both of them admitted it was a mistake and had loaner adpaters available.

The best reason for having an adapter is not the possibility of a 50 amp only plug, but the situation which has happened to me several times where the 30 amp plug is used more often and therefore more likely to not be working properly.

I second this post. Get an adapter and if the 30 amp plug is chipped, melted, loose, runs hot, etc. use your adapter. It is cheap insurance.

I carry a 30 - 50 amp adapter and have never once used it. Every campground we have visited has provided plugs for both. Never hurts to have one but you will not need one at Topsail!
