I was wondering what others had done about making some kind of weight to place on top of the hose 90 fitting. The weight would keep the fitting in place when dumping tanks. And yes I've done the rock, board, sons' foot as weights. Any home made designs that work great and are washable?

Get a knee high nylon hose(the kind a woman wears) or a knee high sock and fill with sand or gravel.

I recycled two water bottles, filled with rocks and water, tied together at the neck and then hang them over the sewer fitting.

Saw a guy take one of these out of his storage compartment and he used it to hold his sewer hose down.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Recycle two, one quart plastic milk jugs. Fill with water, tie together with 6-8 inches of string in between the jugs. Drap over 90 degree fitting. Let DW finish dumping the tanks. Go inside and have a beer.

Works for me.

For a quick solution, a plastic grocery bag with some rocks inside and tied at the top. Two large rocks--one on each side of the hose--works well. Not aesthetically pleasing, maybe..but then, neither is a sewer hose.

Hi,
I make homemade wine and I use the large plastic bags that the concentrate comes in. Fill it with water when you need it dump the water out when you don,t. Bag folds down to nothing and goes into the sewer parts box. I have another one I use on my upside down PVC SAT dish stand. No weight when not needed and takes up no space at all.
