What brand did you guys install. Looks like the big 3 - Atwood, Barker, and Ultra Fab. From what I see the Atwood only extends 14". That doesn't sound like a huge amount. Any thoughts?

3000# would probably do it. The 3500 was only 10.00 more, so, I went with 3500.

Mine also had a plate under the A-Frame with a hole. I had to take it off and dremal it out a little to get it to fit.

The only one that I have used is the Ultra 3500. It has 18" of travel and adjustable foot-pad.

From what I have read I don't think you would go wrong with any of the big three brands.

Have Fun!

Some sound good advice. I just did mine are rather my 16 yr old grandkids did it. It actually takes 3 beers, 1 for each bolt on mine.
If I done it instaed of the grandkids 1 beer and about 15min.

Take Care

Another option to hitching it up to your TV would be to use a pair of jackstands to support the tongue while doing the replacement. Just place them at the junction of the frame and the A frame.

Ro answer why 3500, you are lifting the TT tongue and the TV rear end (partially)

Just to close the loop, I just received my new Barker VIP 3500 via UPS. Looks like I have a project for this weekend!! Thanks for all of the advice and info. I'll follow-up next week with how the installation goes.
