We prefer the canvas fabric. Or did you mean brand? Buffalo: a slide topper is the fabric that rolls out over the top of the slide as it goes out - keeps dirt, etc., off the top of the slide.

I would get one that retracts separately from the slide myself. I have had to bring the bedroom slide in at night at Delanarva ? in galveston since I thought it would tear off the topper myself due to the excessive wind. when I ordered my Winnie chieftain I wanted to delete the toppers for that reason but winnie wouldn't give me any credit so I went ahead and got them.

Get a Carefree Of Colorado. I love our's and they are well built and easy to install.

Carefree makes several models with a full case for the tube with a wind baffle and they also have models with awning fabric support built in. Our has the standard white with the full case/baffle for the tube. The material self tensions after closing/opening.

I would get from a dealer or a local Campingworld since the shipping would kill you for these things. I have 2 of them, one for the main slide and one for the bunk room slide. I paid $799 for the two of them together.

Another vote for Carefree...

We got the SlideOut Kover II w/ the SlideOut Summit option.
That is a REALLY slick system!!!

I won't have a slide cover again w/o the Summit option.

Here are some pics of ours:

You may notice in pic 1 that we also got the aluminum cover that protects the awning when it's rolled up... I would not get this option again. Once in awhile, leaves will get stuck in there...

The Summit add on is GREAT
The cover option is good in theory... but not quite so good in application

Hope this helps!!!
