Gas prices are unbelievable!

I am curious if the rise in fuel prices have caused any of you to cut back on the number of trips you were planning to take for this camping season, OR perhaps the distance you would have otherwise traveled.

We budget 500 gals. of fuel a year for camping it sounds better!!!! 2 bucks a gallon 1000.00 3 bucks 1500.00 4 bucks 2000.00 5 bucks 2500.00 Think we can still fit the budget and get enough camping in just another way of looking at it!!!! Why are we working?? good luck rvtommy

No I will continue to camp. I will probably take more but shorter trips than in previous years so consumption will be about the same. I didnt buy the trailer to look at...

Luckily I have a lot of places by me I want to go (within 1 to 2 hr). Being that I've just bought my trailer, I'll go sell blood if I have to, so I can get away.

We have a "camping account" that we put extra money into, we are now saving for next year, everything this year is covered.

We will actually be traveling more miles this year than we did last year.

Fuel has got me down, BUT it's the wedding next year for my oldest DD that will keep me down..
We have just cut back on eatting out and saving some extra money for fuel. Keeping my camping savings account active..Only have 3 more planned trips this year, mainly due too wedding(march 2009)

Nope, we're still heading out for our annual 3-4 month summer trip. Perhaps we'll spend more time sitting at campgrounds...if they have really good golf nearby, but that's not our plan. We'll cover about 6,000 miles and hit 8-10 states.
