Just got my toy hauler and am trying to make it to Laughlin this weekend but am trying to figure out the best way with out a front sturip/wheel stop since I just dont have time to get one.
I was thinking of just tying it off from the handle bars and some where at the rear and putting a strap around the front brake lever. Will this be enough ?
Thanks for any input.

Quote: and putting a strap around the front brake lever ---not sure were that is------but not suppose to tie down dressers from the handle bars or any rubber mounted handle bars---I take and use soft ties around the fork where it meets the fender if you have ratchet ties---I have trailered my Glide with out chocks before but use extra tie downs front and rear

I agree, don't use the handle bars for tie down if you have a dresser or wide fairing. I use soft hooks around the lower brace of the triple tree to secure the front. On my Springer and my wife's FXDL, I do use the soft hooks on the handle bars.
Depending on the bike and any accessories you have on the rear, finding a good pace to tie onto can be difficult. Just make sure it's something solid like the frame or swingarm.
As mentioned in an earlier response use the ratchet tie downs for a secure hold. A Harley coming loose in the trailer would be no fun.
Tying down the front brake lever shouldn't be a problem as long as you're not too tight. A long time, tied down tight, could force fluid past the seals in the caliper pistons or the actuator piston.
Get a set of chocks soon. There are several choices of roll-in locking chocks that make loading super simple. I went with the Baxley's, but Condor and the others work well also. There are several threads on this forum of "my chocks better than your chock". It's just a matter of preference, they all work well.
Enjoy your new hauler.

Definitely don't secure the tie downs or soft ends on the handle bars. I made that mistake a few years ago with my HD Road King. I had secured the handlebars with tie down straps near the natural bend in the bars. Bike was secure and I was on my way. About halfway to my destination a car passed me and is pointing back towards my bike. I pull over to find that the downward pressure from the straps and the constant bouncing of the road had caused my handlebars to come loose and the left grip slammed into my tank! Quick lesson learned that trip. Get some soft ties, well worth the money. Enjoy your trip.

I really apreciate you all helping me out.I should have mentioned that I have a FXDL so I can put a second tiedown on the handle bars along with on the triple clamps.
I'll put it in there and see.
Thanks all

You will need to pull to the front and to the rear.
You could loop thru the wheel or over the top of each of the shocks and pull backwards.

All good tips above. Another thing I do is put a block under the frame, so as the bike is ratcheted down the pressure squares it up vertically. I know the Dynas have a weird frame, so you may have to build something. I also leave the bike in gear.
