I, too, converted from a gasser to a F350 diesel Crew Cab last year. There truly is something different about driving a muscle truck that will do anything you ask it to do. I am 64 years old, and feel like a kid with a new toy everytime I get behind the wheel of the "BEAST"

Second year with my CTD and so much more power and better towing than my '01 gasser. Sure it was more dollars up front, but look at the price of used diesel vs a gas twin. On a trip from NE Ohio to Charlotte SC I'd have to 'gas up' twice and still arrive with only 1/4 tank. Now it's one stop and arrive with over 1/2 a tank. Sure notice the difference in pulling up those mountains on the WVA turnpike.

Congrats on the new TV. I am starting my 4th season with my old Dodge and despite the fuel prices it still puts a big grin on my face to load up and work it. Actually, $14 is a pretty good savings for a 3 hour round trip. That is nearly $5 an hour savings while towing!!! Did you go down on the Snake? If I see a guy running around Boise with a big on his face, I'll know it's you!!

You must be crazy, have you seen the price of diesel lately? Oh wait a second, I just read my own sig, never mind! In all seriousness, I towed my 5er with identical trucks, the 1st an 8.1 and now the DMax and I still can't believe the difference. I was content with the performance of the 8.1 but it's actually fun to tow with the diesel. I would never have believed it, if I hadn't experienced it 1st hand. Enjoy and welcome to the party.

We went to Three Island State Park in Glenns Ferry. Everyplace else we wanted to camp was snowed under!

Only downside to a diesel, If it ever gets stuck it will be really stuck With the extra up front weight of that big diesel motor you have to be really careful where you go.

Yep, I agree, with my gasser, when I was stuck I was only a little stuck, I got out, picked it up, moved it over and went on my way!

Congrats, no doubt when you pull with a diesel you'll be amazed, you have to try to slow down.
