I have discovered poop bags that break down. Since I recycle just about everything I can, I felt a little guilty using the plastic sacks for poop duty since they are eternal! I am in the process of trying them out. has anyone been using these and are they working well for you?

We use them all the time and they're great. You won't notice the difference.....but maybe your grandchildren will :-)

What is the brand name of the bags? I'd like to find some.

We use a leash that has the integrated Bags-on-Board holder. They're 100% biodegradable. Link:

There are LOTS out there. we even used ones made of corn starch. I was afraid I'd end up with a hand full of poop but they were fine for the "job"

I have them also. Has anyone tried them out? I mean, leave a clean/unused one out in the rain/sun? How long before it breaks down?
I'll string up an "experiment" tonight.

I get all my poop bags here, they are the cheapest I've ever seen and are 100% biodegradeable.

Our city hands out biodegradable poop bags in parks. Some irresponsible owner would use them and fling them into bushes in the neighbourhood. You can see them hanging onto the branches thru the winter seasons and remain intact. But I heard reports that if you leave these bags in your coat pocket and forgotten, they will degrade and make a mess.

They pick it up with the poop bag and then toss it on the ground instead of using the trash cans which are right there! How dumb is that?
I'm not sure I buy the coat pocket thing. The bags at our park are supposed to be biodegradable, however, I've washed SEVERAL as they are always in DH's pockets. I've also found them in pockets several months or a year later, and put them back into circulation for the next trip. I see no signs of "degrading". Of course, maybe Canadian Poop Bags are made differently...
