I am installing the BANKS headers/exhaust system on my 1997 F-53 with 460 this saturday (removed the old system last Saturday). I figure while I'm in there I might as well replace the spark plugs. Any recommendations on brand/part number? Thanks in advance!!

I just changed my plugs. Champion has a mfg rebate of up to $2.50 per plug good thru the end of May.

Bosch Platinums are excellent plugs with a wider heat range than most and lower firing voltage than standard plugs.

I proved a mileage improvement with Splitfires on a an Pontiac Transport. MPG averaged over the first 20K miles from brand new. Next 5K miles after installing Splitfires increased my average mileage from 19.5 to 21 mpg. I have no documentation on the motorhome as I put Splitfires in it the first day I bought it. In every other vehicle I have installed Splitfires, I have noticed smoother idle and emissions testing always was below the measurable limit. The butt meter can tell a very subtle improvement in high gear roll on.

I don't believe that one really gets a two forked spark as advertised, but I do believe that because the electrode is off to either side, there is better exposer to the fuel charge.
