We have a 2008 on a FL XC-R chassis and it is due for the first iteration of the "M2" service. For anyone that has had this done, what have you paid?

Ours is a much older chassis ( 2000 XCS) but I just did the equivalent of the M2 this past weekend and, DIY and buying my own parts, it was about $250. The transmission fluid change was done with Transynd and I replaced the reservoir to pump hose in the power steering system as part of that fluid change.

I will be curious to see what a professional version of my work actually costs - to see how much I saved.

Is this for the 5000 mile service? Is it still required? My 05 required, I believe, an M1 at 5000 miles, which required a trans filter change and two quarts of Transynd. I understand that is no longer required. I paid about $350 at Orlando Freightliner a few years ago for the first one; no fuel system service required.

For the M2 at year one, I serviced the rear end myself as it is so simple to do. I measured the ride height myself. That basically leaves a chassis lube, oil change and fuel filters which I had done at Ocala Freightliner for $200 and change.

On edit, I see you are from Cincinnatti. The Freightliner factory in Gaffney, SC is right around the corner.
