I've got a side aisle Nuwa Champagne 37CKRD. We like the side isle because when I get up before DW, I can turn on lights and television in the living room and it stays quiet and dark up in the bedroom even without closing off slideing bedroom door.

And keeping DW happy is importannt.

IMHO.... most side aisle units have the toilet and shower in one room. This means, to us, that if either fixture is in use the other can't be used by someone else, i.e. she is taking a shower and I need to use the toilet... isn't gonna happen!

So we don't even consider side aisle units when we go looking.

We purchased a Titanium 30E35SA with the side aisle because we liked the larger single bathroom and that when sitting in the living room you don't look right into the bedroom. There is the disadvantage of all the facilities being in one room. The upside is that the single room has more space and you can close off the bedroom from people needing to use the toilet.

DW wouldn't consider the split bath facilities. If they are "occupied", I take a walk to the nearest shower house.

We have a Heartland Big Horn 3370 and the side aisle floorplans were all we looked at. Cardinal has a nice one too. We like the bigger bath and the more private bedroom. Heartland has a new floorplan with the aisle on the opposite side and a combination style bath. Toilet is enclosed, then you can close the bedroom door to make a big room for the shower and sink.

I don't have a 5er yet but when I get one, it'll be a side aisle. My theory is this: Sitting in the living room and looking towards the bedroom, if you have the side aisle, you see more wall space then the stairs leading to the upper level. So that kind of tells you "There's so much more space in here." If you have a center aisle and you look to the bedroom, you see right into the bedroom and think "Well there's the other end of the 5er......man this doesn't seem so big after all.".

Whoever said "Money can't buy happiness", didn't know where to shop.

Take a peak at this website and bring up the floorplan for the MAX1. It is a whole side slide. Look at the pics of the interior - - one gorgeous fiver.

We've got a side isle Mountaineer, previously we had a center isle. I like the side isle for a number of reasons. Bedroom privacy, the bathroom is bigger so I dont feel like Im doing my business in a phone booth, if one person is showering another can sleep without being disturbed, basically the sink and shower arent in the bedroom. Both of us can hold it long enough for the other to take a shower, especially in an RV.
