It sure got quiet around here. Looks like everyone went home. Somebody else had to have stayed behind ?

I was wondering the same question myself. Moderating has been easy.

Most of us poor schmucks are back in Canada dreaming of Tacos, Sol Beer and Tequila. 173 days till we get back. We are both back at work for the summer. Kinda hard to get your stride back after 6 months down south. Next year we are going down the mainland side of Mexico to study the various food sources along the way. We'll see how the cooks there compare to the Baja. sigh............
Come visit us at our website and share in our great fulltime RV Adventure.

It's almost like we never even went. I brought back 9 cases of Tecate so I have proof after the tan fades.

We´re still here! I´m in Mérida at an internet cafe right now, I came over to check on the house renovation, buy a whole lot of appliances and pick some tile. Mimi is at the beach in Akumal. I go back tomorrow after the tile expedition.
I had a shopping overload today. I bought: an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher (all ioMabe), a washing machine (Maytag), and a dryer (Easy). I bought the refrigerator (Maytag) a few weeks ago. Whew! I actually have to go and pay tomorrow as I got a 15% discount for cash and I had to order the cash from Monex.
The clothes dryer was the biggest hassle. I´ve been told that the conversion from natural gas to LP should only be done on models that state they are for either type of gas. They sell a ton of dryers that don´t say anything but Natural on the sticker and I didn´t want them. They really tried to convince me that it was ok and that they sell them and everyone buys them and they work fine. I was not convinced. The problem was that I wanted the Maytag washer and couldn´t find a dryer with the LP on the sticker that was the same height. I finally got the architect over to the store and we decided they could raise the washer and make it match. Who knows if I am being too cautious or not but what I´d heard is that since you can´t see the flame on a gas dryer, you can´t tell if it is huge and orange or smoking or whatever. Finally, the architect called the plumber and he agreed with me!! He said that the flame is often not quite right on unsupported conversions and that there is often a smell of gas behind them. I felt so vindicated!

Up here in the snow(3') and cold(24*), wishing we hadn't left so early. Next year we won't leave until April 15th instead of March 15th. Also next year it will be down the gulf coast to Belize and then up the pacific coast at a leisurely pace.

After spending nearly three months in Mexico, Guatemala & Panama, we spent a few weeks in Montana getting the cabin ready for the cousins to arrive. So now we're on the way home to Split Lake. I don't know how long I'll be there, but Mazatlan is on my mind....
