Hi! We are going to Branson over Memorial Weekend. Hope you enjoy your time in Branson. I don't know your route, but in Arkansas some places you might enjoy are: Murphresburo(?) Diamond Mine, Hot Springs, Mt. View and the Folk Center, Blanchard Springs Caverns, Eureka Springs and the Passion Play. Hope you enjoy your trip along the way.

If you can wander up Carthage way in Missouri going either direction to or from Branson you might like the Precious Moments Church. Worth a look.

I can't help with your plans along the way, but I will recommend a show for you to see. We saw Clay Cooper about 2 weeks ago, and it is one of the best shows we've ever seen in Branson. His theater is on the strip across from Wal Mart.

There's a place on the strip near Hwy. 65 that has a billboard that says Half Price Tickets, No Bull, etc. They don't have tickets for the big name shows, but they do have them for many others. You get a voucher there and then go to the theaters to get your tickets.

If you are going through Oklahoma, bye all means stop and see the cowboy hall of fame in Ok City. Plan for several hours and you still won't get to see it all. Much more than the name implies, one of the finest museums in the country.

We'd love to have you here in Oklahoma to visit the Cowboy Hall of Fame, but it sure would be the looooong way around to Branson.

Pick a reasonable route through AR and look for state parks along the way. Much of AR is beautiful with many nice state parks.

We yearly did the trip from North Dallas to Kimberling City, which is just east of Branson. Shortest route was up 45/75 to 69 to tollway to
360 (west of Springfield)then to 65

Brass Pro (Springfield)was always fun if you have not been to one. Not a lot of stuff on that route, nice KOA might be just right for you near Checotah, a few state parks in Oklahoma, near there too.

Watch for the speed trap at Stringtown, OK
