Does anyone take their cat on camping trips?
We have a cat that needs medication twice a day and boarding her during vacation is not only expensive but we miss her and would like to be able to take her along with the 3 dogs. (Lost 2 dogs last year.)

She gets along with the dogs fine and often sleeps next to them on our bed.

We started our 12 yr old cat rving due to his diabetes. We had a 5th wheel and he had to share the back of an extended cab pickup (this was years ago and the extendeds had no doors and were smaller) with 2 Labs. He adjusted in no time and really enjoyed it. That being said, we cannot find a place to put a litter box in the motorhome to keep it away from the dogs, so our current cats stay home or go to the vet (one cat has to be on meds). Fortunately Max - the mega colon one - is a favorite at the vets and so he doesn't seem to mind.

Many full timers have cats or small dogs. I have a cat. I say sure, why not? Mine travels in the trailer, your's might travel in the rear cap maybe? Or in the trailer or up front.

We have traveled with 3 different cats. They all have done well. 2 of them traveled in the cab of the truck with us and the current cat Tie-Dye travels in our TT. She really did not like being in the truck. She is a great companion and my family and I would greatly miss her if we left her at home. They have all gotten along with our dogs.

We have a 16-year old house cat that had never traveled, except for a couple of trips in the car. We took her to Texas this winter in the MH and she loved it. She spends a lot of time on the dashboard in the sun when we're parked. Now, anytime we travel in the MH, she feels quite at home...more so than in our stick house we think because we're easier for her to find. DW bought disposable litter boxes and they work fine as well.

Woops,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, protocall problem. You would be RV'ing with the cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are not sure protocall matters, try living with a cat.

We have 2 cats that live with us in the bus, no problem, they often take a nap and end up in another state when they wake up.

SAm likes the RVs - we've had her through a TT, 5ver and MH. I think she likes the smaller spaces - just be careful and do not open doors or put out/in the slides without knowing the cat is in a safe spot.

We travel with 2 cats and a Lab. They get along fine in fact the youngest cat thinks the Lab is her mother. We all travel together in the truck. Each seems to find her own spot. The cats seem to enjoy the 5th as much if not more than the stick house. We are more cautious about them bolting out the door of either the truck or trailer. In fact we are heading out Monday for a week.

We travel with three cats (all age 13) a dog and a parakeet. Back seat of the extended cab is kind of packed but can't go without the furballs!
