Wife and I will have our TT in Oakhurst in middle of May. We were planning on bringing our bicycles, put them in my TV, then going to Yosemite for the first time. Any recommendations from those that have been to Yosemite before? Bikes-yes or no? We also have a small dog, should we leave her in the TT for a few hours while we go to Yosemite or can we take her with us in the truck. If we use the bikes we will keep her in the TT.
Advice please..
Thanks

Bikes are a great way to get around the valley floor. You'll see a lot of scenery on your ride. You can still use your TV to reach the high elevations and it'll be a must for Toulamie(sp) Meadows.

We rode bikes all around Yosemite, great way to go. I would think the dog would be fine in the TT for a few hrs. We leave our two corgis in the MH while we go out and about, but no more than 4 hrs. We make sure they have a good walk before hand and leave the radio on, blinds shut. They sleep the whole time...

We always take our bikes to Yosemite. It's the best way to get around and see all of the beauty. Take locks for your bikes so you can secure them to the bike racks and walk up the short paths to some of the waterfalls or do other sightseeing. I recommend leaving your dogs as it can get hot even in May when you are in the park. Have fun!

Definitely take the bikes. Great areas to ride around in. Don't have a dog, so can't help you on that one.
