On our 30ft Holiday Rambler SAvoy LX, everything is accesible after you get past the recliner I put in. Bath, dinette, full kitchen, bedroom couch etc. Using our bathroom, peace of mind.

When looking into our new unit, we opened and closed all the slides at different times to see what we could not get to. If the salesperson hesitates, they are probably worried about something.

Having 2 doors on your camper also helps. If we come in from the back door living space I have to squeeze between the slide to get to the bathroom, but going through the other door is a lot better and was one of the reasons I was determined to get that broken key out of the lock in that door. I did and all is good.

As already pointed out, it depends on the individual rig's floorplan and general setup. One of our priorities in choosing a rig with slideout includes access to the fridge, sink and bathroom when the slideout is in. Both our current and previous trailers have had this - a little tight, perhaps, but still fine. And sometimes the second door can allow access when the way is blocked from the other direction.

In our "A" we sometimes don't put the two slides out if just for an overnight sleep stop.

yep, I never extend my living room slide unless I am going to be someplace for a couple of days. one of the reasons I selected the floorplan that I have.

The floorplan, with the slide in, was definitely a consideration for us. We wanted to be able to pull into a rest stop for lunch, sleep, etc. and not be hindered by having the slide in.

This is something we looked at before buying as when traveling long distances in a day we would stop to sleep and not open any slides. We wanted to be able to get to the fridge, table, bathroom, and bed some models do not allow you to get to the fridge when closed this was important to us as I like to eat.

My rig only has 1 slide, and the only thing it blocks access to is a mirror mounted on the wall. Dumb mirror! If DW and I are not taking the puppies with us, we don't bother putting out the slide at all. There is plenty of space for the two of us without. I can always use the mirror in the bathroom.
