We just picked up a new to us 2007 Tundra Double Cab and the dealer did not have any information on this aftermarket accessory put on by the prior owner. I've tried looking at a lot of on-line photos of backup cameras, but don't recognize this one. I'm trying to figure out if I can get the rest of the set-up that should go with it. I tried checking the mirror, but the rearview mirror looks like the factory original, and I don't see any modifications in the console area where they may have added the monitor for this.
I do not recognize it either, but it may be an RF type link to the monitor so no modifications in the cab would have been made. But, if it is an RF link it's kinda worthless without the monitor.
Check the wiring, how many wires in the cable if more than two trace them back it might lead back to the a connector. If only two then its an RF. Now If you just bought the truck check with the dealer to see if the truck was a trade in for another vehicle or an auction buy. If an auction by you might be out of luck unless you can do a full background check on VIN. Here is my point, try to find the previous owner. maybe they for got to turn it in or he still has it.
On my jeep I bought it had a hard top. I found the window sticker in the glove box and found out that the jeep also came with a soft top. I thought I would pay extra for it if the previous owner wanted to sell it. They are $1500 from the parts counter. I had an awesome salesman and I called him. He called the previous owner the owner said it was stored in a friends barn and that he would get it in a month or so. I got a call from the salesman a month later the top and windows were at the dealer. That call saved me $1500.
Do a bit of calling and see...won't hurt may help.
