We have a trip planned in June for Vermont. We are seriously considering canceling due to the rapid increase in Gas prices. It is 400 miles one way and only get 8 MPG when pulling. We would hate to leave the TT behind, but we would spend almost $500 just for fuel. has anyone cancelled yet?

We were going to South Dakoda to see the talking heads but @ 662.00 one way @ 4.75 now in Sept it will probably be 5.oo per gal, so we decided to stay on the west coast again and see what Idaho looks like, going up through Nevada, Utah first.
If you get 8mpg times 50 gal @ 4.75 thats 237.00 one way

First thing u need to know is get out of CA to buy fuel. Washington is almost as bad. Arizona prices are much better -- around $4.00 for diesel or go to MX and buy it for $2.00/gallon.

We definitely will not drive to Oregon this Summer. From Sacramento area it would burn a lot of fuel. Our little protest. We can afford it but hope our tiny bit helps.
I don't like higher fuel prices either. But if you use the math from Tailer Trash and figure it @ $3.50 a gal.that would be $175.Subtract that from the 237 and the additional fuel one way would be $62,Which would be $124 round trip.I would still go.We all have got to look @ things more postive.I'm not rich by any means but I will look @ other things I can cut back on to still be able too camp.

Hi: We plan a trip to the NW which will take us from NE Colorado to Wy, MT, ID and WA and back to Colorado. The cost of fuel is a killer but at my age I really need to just do the trip. Both my wife and I have our health now and who knows how long we will be able and to travel. I think that we will just plan to park the trailer at a camp ground in Washington state and do some trips solo with the truck. Happy Camping! Jim2007
We wil be heading to Oregon Coast, then over to my place in NE Washington. my total miles traveled with trailer will be around 3400 mi. The cost keeps rising, but Bush gave me a welfare check so I'll spend it fuel and give it back to him and his oil buddies.
