I just purchased our first camper (2006 Jayco Jay Feather 19H) - I pick it up later this week. The dealer told me that I did not need a weight distribution hitch - nor did I need sway control with this particular camper. However, after asking this forum - I believe I do.
Which hitch and sway control do you have with your 19H and did you install it yourself or not?
My TV is a 2007 F150 Super Crew 5.4 V8 4x4.
Thanks in advance.

You will want both.
I recommend Equal-I-zer brand. Stupid simple to install yourself and ~$399 delivered to your door from RVwholesalers.com. Provides both WD and sway.
Enjoy your new camper!

There's gonna be at least 400 pounds on the ball. That'll be under the hitch rating of your F150 but note how much sag there is and how light the steering gets. Also note any fishtailing on the road -- why this is called "sway" still amazes me.
You will probably want one or the other and the Equalizer provides both in one package.

I use a Reese Weight Distribution Hitch with sway bar. I don't have as much truck as you but I still think it is necessary. The dealer installed mine and I have had no issues so far. Trailer follows nicely even on windy days. Hope it helps.

I have a Jayco 19H and my dealer didn't recommend it, he assumed that I would have it. We worked it out as part of the deal. There never was a question of whether or not to use it. While I tow with a smaller vehicle (Toyota 4Runner) I would not want to tow it on any vehicle without the WDH.

With my old Jayco 18F I used a Eaz-Lift WD hitch and Husky friction sway control, however, I would go with the Equal-i-zer if starting from scratch. RVW won't sell to Canada, and it's twice as much to buy it up here, so I'll wait on it for a while.
I would never tow without a WDH and SC, at least not with the vehicles I've had.

Being a new owner of a Jayco 19H, - I too am torn between either:
1) Equal-i-zer
or
2) Reese Pro Series SC
both come in around $425 - if I do it myself ( shipping, tax, new ball, etc.. )
Going thru the dealers - it is $575-650.
With the Reese Pro series - it seems as though I have to add additional spacers between the trailer A frame and the WD hitch. My frame is only 1.5" and the Reese requires 2"
This is not a problem with the Equal-i-zer since it is adjustable to the smaller frame i.e, < 2"
My tow vehicle is a 2007 Volvo VC90 AWD and has the auto-leveling feature.
Would like to hear if this is really that easy to do it yourself and if there are any other gotcha's or concerns I should be aware of.
Thanks in advance.

You need to switch the auto-leveling OFF while setting up the WDH, otherwise you'll be unable to measure the suspension compression as you put the load on the ball. Once it's setup right the auto-leveling will take the last 1/4" out of the level for you.
I've done at least 4 Equalizer installations including an air suspension Land Rover. Just take your time and follow the instructions. Once setup you don't have to mess with it.
