chcgm...Sorry to tell you this, but the truck stop at I-40 and SR 95 is a Pilot not a Petro. lenOrge

I beleive mehost is correct. Valero is the new name for Diamond Shamrock and a couple of other small outfits that went together under one umbrella, if I heard correctly.

My experience has been that Petro, while nice places, are usually several cents higher than nearby Flying J's. I feel bad for them if TA owns them. Is the Good Sam card good on Diesal also, and how much?

A truck stop is a truck stop, and we don't stop at ANY of them. We haven't had any problems getting our 36' motorhome plus toad into any other place....

Since Valero is owned by Venezuela, and Venezuela's government is now communist, and the President of Venezuela doesn't like the US, let's seize their gas stations and refineries here. Then give them to the US owned companies, who lost all their investments in Venezuelan partnerships for offshore drilling and refining in Venezuela when he decided to nationalize the Venezuelan Oil Co's. and seize their assets there.

Results should work out fine, Venezuela isn't recognizing the judgements of the World Court on this issue so turnabout should be "fair play". Part of what the oil co's are trying to do is recoup their losses from that debacle....just give them one or two of Valero US's refineries and watch prices go down.

Valero is _not_ owned by Venezuela, it is owned by British Petroleum or BP, which in the past year bought ARCO. ARCO may be the only company in the US which does not import gasoline, which is why the price is lower.

I couldn't imagine stopping at a regular gas/diesel pump to fill my coach. My experience has been that those pumps will stop at $75 without going in to tell the clerk to 'release' the pump and the fuel flows slowly. In the truck lanes, diesel flows at 60 gallons a minute so I can fill my 150 gallon tank right quick!

When driving through a truck-fuel lane, you don't have to make tight turns and worry about the little cars getting in your way. Seems to me that most regular gas stations, turning a big coach around with a toad can be quite difficult with all the traffic (my coach is 42 ft.).

In your situation, you might not have the choice of using the truck isle, they don't sell unleaded at the Truck pumps that I have seen.

This comment from a dedicated nine year FJ/110,000 mile user. The DW is happier at the Petro Stations as she is upset/ticked off at FJ deleting the 1 cent per gallon credit in these times of high fuel prices.

Flying-J now offers a .03 cent discount, BUT you must spend at least $10 in the Flying-J store the previous month.

I too have noticed that Flying-J fuel prices are not the lowest like they used to be. Has Flying-J been sold or something? Because this new policy just sucks...

I get the .03 Cents back at the Petro with my Good Sam Club Card and i dont have to spend anything first!!! the DW and I went to Okla and use the Petros all the way down, and got the $$$ back in hand at the Check Out!!!
