I've slammed both my diesel coaches into either a building, in Metairie, LA. or a CAT forklift, in rural Texas. Both at night at very low speed.......no damage to the coaches.......
I have a sweet tender nature, however I enjoy sharing my thoughts and opinions.

I probably told my wife 20 times to make sure to move the driver's seat forward before she moves the living room slide out. The one time she is outside of the MH I told her that I would do the slides. I'm sure you can guess what happened. I heard this creaking sound and realized what I was doing. When the slide stopped the driver's seat was tilted. When I pulled the slide in the seat came back to an upright position. It wasn't too badly damaged and I could still use it. Of course, my wife does mention it from time to time.

I backed our old TC into the side of the wife's car. In fact, it was the opposite side she wrecked (her fault) a month earlier!

If you haven't a story to tell, you haven't had the "full RV experience".
When I winterized, I left diet soda in the refrigerator with the door open. It would be there for a quick drink if I was in the MH working on some project.
There was a deep freeze, and all the cans exploded. Root Beer flew everywhere - walls, ceiling, light color day/night shades, white velvet flocked upholstery, and light gray carpet. The door shelves of the refrigerator were broken (it was a real problem finding replacements!).

On a previous rig, I was backfilling the black tank with a flush king, getting the fifth wheel ready to get back on the road, when I got distracted by something and forgot to monitor how full the tank was. Once it had filled up, the tank exploded. Thank God I was on my 3 backfill and the water was bascially clean. When that tank blew, it sounded like a bomb went off and it rocked the 36 foot fifth wheel.

We were at Fort Wilderness a couple of years ago and we had a very tight spot. We managed to get into it with help from a passerby and we had a great time at the camp. When we were ready to head home I wanted to get on the road early and we all jumped into the truck at 2AM and headed down the road. Got home 2 days later and noticed on the back passenger side of the 5er a large crack in the fiberglass and bark and scratches on the rear window. On the way out of the camping spot there was a low branch that I remembered and I evidently hit it on our way out and didn't feel it when we hit. I did something similar in the Grand Canyon campground only there we hit a low overhanging tree and it took off 2 of our slideout covers on our 2 week old new camper. Didn't realize that I hit anything untill the DW asked where all the bark and green leaves came from on out slideout. It seems like I do damage to the new campers and not to the older ones. Oh Well both units were only a few weeks old and the good part is that I got it out of the way and all is well now.

We were at kerr lake a few years ago I had hooked up the camper and every thing seemed fine. My 3 year old came out of the camper to tell me the water did not work. I discovered that the campground was on well water and were having problems and the water would be back on in a couple of hours. We decided to go up to the nearest store for some fishing bait when I returned I discovered the water was back on and my son had left the water running in the sink. Needless to say the tank filled up and water was running out the front door. Now I cut the water off before I leave the camp ground

We were on I-10 last year near Palm Springs. The wind was gusting 60mph+. Our awning started to unwind while we were driving down the road. We were lucky we were at a spot in the road that we could pull over. Not thinking about the wind I went to open the side door and the wind was so strong it ripped it out of my hands and slammed it into the side if to motor home. After a few tears rolling down the wife's face we were able to get the awning tied down. I thought I was home safe until we got back into the RV tired to close the door. The wind was blowing so strong it took all We had to finally get the door closed. To be truthful I had never experienced wind that strong before in my life.
Now, I open the door very carefully when the wind is blowing.
