Things I'm picking up for our first camping trip with the urchin:
- camp chair with arms--our camp chairs are armless and I like the support while nursing
- larger, zippered wetbag for the cloth diapers
Things I won't forget at home:
- pack n play. We rarely use it at home, but I need a safe place to put him while setting up and breaking camp.
- Ergo. Not like I'd forget it--I wear him on my back every single day, but I'll definitely want it while camping. When he gets bigger, I'll probably switch to a deuter or sherpani frame carrier.
- woven plastic mat. My parents picked up a couple of these for us, they seem to be popular with the RVers, but we usually use our larger one as a tent floor protector. One like it will serve nicely as a play area.
- first aid kit!!
I can always empty a rubbermaid bin for bathtime, if it's necessary. We co-sleep. He nurses and eats table food (12mo). I really just need to remember hat, sunblock, and arnica gel.
Around here, the coyotes are louder than babies. I wouldn't worry about it.
