So, if you register your RV and use your kid's address for the insurance, DL, etc., you will also receive a state income tax form from THAT state. That is the benefit of SD, TX & FL...there is no state income tax, SD had no inheritance tax; yes, you, at this point, have to go in person to renew your DL but you have a 6-month leeway period - you don't have to go there the exact month it expires.

If you already knew what you were going to do, why did you come here looking for answers?

Yes I have been through that too. Here I chose not to have a rural route box (my choice) and use a PO Box.
When I get the message it's because they did not specify how they shipped so I gave them the PO Box.
Some sellers have to ship UPS or non USPS services it's just the way they are set up.
When we get on the road ordering anything over the internet will be a challenge but we won't move that often. Even at that the complications of having a delivery address on file with the bank other than what they are used to an such is time consuming so we will just have to try to avoid ordering stuff like that if possible.
Like I said, I know people that have lived on the road for years and know of their problems with the mail issues.

Can't use the kids address for registration as the fees are high where they are at.
And I intend to pay no income taxes in any state once a leave here.
When I retired out of CA they tried to collect taxes on my retirement income even though I had moved. I told them where they could stick that. There were several states that did that for years. The feds finally got involved and said if they don't live there you can't collect taxes on it.
I know many that paid it and never got it back.
I have not know a registration in any state to generate a state income tax filing request as of yet.
But again my original post only dealt with registrations and the DL as I figured they would be tied together in the same state. Once registered I can change the insurance address online at anytime and I already know that can save you money too.

We just started full-timing. We chose a Texas domicile. Escapees makes registering in Texas easy. One thing they didn't tell us, we needed a bill of sale for some reason. Luckily, DW is very organised and could put her hands something close enough.

Why did you need the bill of sale...for registration or for insurance?

I would assume for registration. They most likely want to make sure that you paid taxes on it?

Is someone pulling a leg or two with this absurd series of posts?

The following quote from KeninAZ "I have not know a registration in any state to generate a state income tax filing request as of yet."

The above, and other responses to valid attempts to help the OP, seems to indicate leg pulling to the maximum degree!

Wow, life is a weird trip if you take the bait.

My feeling is that further responses to this charade will only encourage more gibberish.
