Sell it and get an expensive deisel and a 5er.......get 10mpg

..or sell, get a small pop up, or use a tent..

as far as better MPG out of it, I think that is about it...

well I know here I can go camp in nice areas in the Mnts, that is 30 minutes or so.. really dont know about your area... I only use mine 5-6 times a year, but when we do we enjoy it...

During the camping months, cut in different areas.. Eating out, unnecesaary trips to walmart.. change your tax deductions during the camping months??? just thought of that one... be surprised on how much you can save... instead of a new LCD TV with your tax rebate or taxes use it for vacations.....

My motorhome is an old class C with a 79 Chevy frame and a Shasta body. It kills me in gas just to start it I think?. We have taken it on a few trips since we got it last November and for the most part, it runs great. My problem is it gets about 7 to 9 miles per gallon and I can't afford to do what I wanted to do.

Does anyone think I can still find good places to camp without driving for a few hundred miles?

Maybe someone has some tips about getting better gas milage out of my unit?. I will take any suggestions please. I feel like my entire summer is ruined.................

As a matter of policy, we don't comment on moderating, but I just deleted a number of posts in this thread and felt you all deserved an explanation.

Suffice it to say that political statements and/or inflammatory remarks are not permitted, especially when they drag a discussion off-topic.

Consider this a gentle reminder to all:

Please:

1. Do not post such things.

2. If you see such posts, just ignore it and report it. Do not respond to it.

Thanks for your help. Oh, and by the way, thanks everyone for making my job easy. I really don't need to step in very often.

Finally, do not comment on this post. That's not appropriate and I will delete any comments (whether good or bad) on this post as being off-topic.

I now return you to your regularly-scheduled discussion.
