We have been several times, but not since they became a KOA. The original owners family still runs the campground, so I am sure the only changes would be a price increase. We will be returning in July for 4 nights on a riverfront site. It has always been immaculate when we have been there. I like the riverfront sites better here than at Tremont as Tremont sites are up at the road.
Also, we love the area.
I have some pics, pm me if you are interested...

Think it use to be Little River. Was very nice haven't went there since bought out. We camped on river on bathhouse side. Gravel lots very clean bath house had swimming pool by office. Some think the lots are tight but didn't notice difference between other area campground lot sizes. Has some cabins and tent area that is up in woods. We walked up towards turn to go to cades cove and tubed back to campground. Unless new owners changed it we loved to camp there. Lazy days and the one beside koa stinks we rode through them. have fun mike

We were there in Novemeber and really did not see any changes from the year before when it was Little River Village. Same owners who are very nice and helpful. Campground is kept very clean and probably the cleanist bathhouses I have been in. Sites are gravel but very level, shady and some back up to the river with small deck and concrete patio. Campstore is well stocked, has small fudge bakery and restuarant attached as well. We really enjoy this campground and it has become our destination of choice when heading to Gatlinbugh Pigeon Forge area.

If you take the Wear Valley Rd north out of Townsend over to Dollywood, you can drive it in about 45 minutes if the traffic is light.

I'll suggest staying just down the road at Tremont Hills. the price will probably be about the same but you will have a little more elbow room. Also has some sites on the river.

The route from Townsend to Dollywood is pretty much a traffic free one. Plus, it is a beautiful one. You go up Wears Valley Road. Cross over the parkway and avoid all the crazy Pigeon Forge traffic. It takes us 30 minutes max. I would much rather have a nice scenic 30 minute drive than sit in stop and go - bumper to bumper traffic for 30 minutes.
