Casinos -there are so many that I think you could take a cross country trip and stay overnight at a casino every night. Just don't go inside if you want a cheap overnight stay.http://www.casinocamper.com/States.htm

Most Meijers stores have large parking lots and allow you to stay overnight.

Somewhere, I heard that K-Mart actually started the overnight parking privilege. Regardless, if you own DeLorme Street Atlas or Microsoft's Streets & Trips, you might want to check THIS.

Besides the Flying J, most all the other major truck stops, Petro,Pilot,T/A,Love's,and some Target stores, Lowes,Home Depot. Just remember as far as the stores,to check with them first, while they may permit it, local ordinances, may prohibit it.

Every Wal*Mart I overnight at has a don't ask, don't tell policy. I don't ask to stay, and I don't tell them I'm staying. Pull in, curtains and shades get drawn. Goodnight.

some camping world stores have free overnight camping available and some even have dump stations and water available. we will be stopping at a few in southern cali on our disney trip next week. to find out which ones go to their website and click on locations and then read about available services, they will list overnight and if there is a dump available.

I totally agree with Bumpyroad. We are one of the polite people that always goes to the service desk at Wal-Mart to get the OK. Even though we know it's fine, it's a courtesy and will help us all in the long run.

Subscribing to "Overnight RV Parking" (http://www.overnightrvparking.com/) is a good option for locating overnighting spots; the site information is reliable and very frquently updated. When you subscribe to the site ($17.95 a year), you can also join/access the Yahoo! group that is connected to this site.

Just don't get between two reefer units, cause you will not get any sleep and the whole rig will vibrate. I avoid truck stops at all costs.
