I have a 07 Williamsburg that I will be picking up and wanted to have the Equalizer WDH with sway with my 2002 Dodge caravan.

I am also considering the Reese Mini 350, which considers the side mounted front crank, but it seems most people say the mini 350 is just not enough, and I can't tell from many searches if it really has any sway control.

Does the equalizer fit the fleetwood trailers with this side mounted lift? Is anyone using one with their fleetwood?

The Reese Pro SC seems like a great alternative with 6 point sway and can be mounted 18" - 32" but will the bars hit the front lift?
Thanks!

The 350mini works great on my Fleetwood Sun Valley. Just make sure the dealer gives you the paper work, so you can verify it is setup properly. They usually skip the required spacer on the frame bracket mount.

Sway control IS provided and works the same way as Equal-i-zer. Better, actually since there is friction pad material so you don't get the horrible creaks and groans of the EQ.

It IS a pain to hookup every time and hard on the tongue jack. Be sure to start with the wheel fully retracted and set on wood block before jacking everything up enough to put the bars on.

Hi Agfadoc,

How is that towing set up working out for you? What size engine do you have?

I also have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan and am in the process of purchasing a Fleetwood Sea Pine. It's almost 900 lbs lighter then your pop up. With a family of 6 we will have a considerable internal load.

How is your WD hitch and stabilizer bars working out? How does your van ride and climb hills?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Love it. Took it out this weekend.

I have the 3.3 and it did very well. I rode mostly flat land but some hills and it did fine. The WD hitch works like it should and I felt very comfortable towing with it.

The Minivan had the back seats removed and coolers and camping stuff filled the back. My son and Grandson were with me and it worked well.

I don't obviously have the accelleration I would like to have but I am towing a Pup...

I have the prodigy brake controller and that also worked very well.

Looking forward to my June 10th trip!

That's what I ran into with my Utah. I got the Equalizer hitch and discovered that the side mounted tongue jack didn't allow the bars to be hooked up. I just ended up buying a tongue jack that went thru the hole already in the center of the tongue.

My question is if there is a hole in the tongue already, why would Fleetwood go thru the extra time and expense of welding on the plate to mount the jack to the side???
