TUBAPETE has the right answer just 2 pumps in each bearing about every 10,000 miles with a good high temp bearing grease works wonders, or everyother year if your not paying attention to mileage

I am able to do Boat trailers from the outside, w/out removing anything. My HTT does do not seem to have any nipples out side the wheel to place the greese gun fitting to pump the greese in? How/where do I add greese?

Now wouldn't it be nice if they could do the same thing to trailer wheels that they they do to car and truck bearings? You don't worry about them.

I just get the bearings repacked by my dealer at the start of each season. Costs me about $60 but it is peace of mind and they check and adjust the brakes if needed. To me, it is worth the money compared to the cost of being towed or repaired by the side of the road.

Yes, I know some of you will say to do it yourself but mechanically inclined, I am not.

Manual says to give them a squirt about every 3000 miles and repack at about 12,000.

How much is everyone else paying? I checked our dealer and they want 99 an axel = $200. I am certainly mechanically challenged - was going to talk my FIL into coming over and helping me. I'll be damned if I spend $200 that's for sure.

I do ours every 20,000. If I need to pull hubs to check brakes, might as well grease bearings before reassembly.

Sure is no harm in repackin yearly but why? Would you also repack your tow vehicle? Why? Why not? I did mine this year mainly to check the brakes and found both to be in fine shape and we tow lots of miles. I would think checking the LP regulator would be a higher priority or atleast equal. Best of luck.

Just had mine done (2 axels) for $79.90 at Camping World.
