I was wondering if any workampers come from the South in the summer to spend time up North. If so, what states do you go to? Just trying to get a response, may be looking for Workamper's to come to a nice location in Ohio - in the heart of Amish Country, Mohican State Park, and about a two hour drive to Lake Erie Islands, Cedar Point. If not this summer - probably next Spring and summer. Facility has to get sewers connected yet. Just wondering if anyone would be interested. If so, e-mail me.

I would think most of them do that, I know when I start workamping I'll definately be snow birding north in the summer and south in the winter... Only 8 more years until (semi) retirement!!

We work in the south for the winter and usually go to Michigan for the summer. I'm sure that you will find that most do something like that.

We are in Maine for this summer. We will let you know when the season is nearly over how it went. So far it sure beats south TX for a summer: never again at least before the next ice age!

We're headed to Austin, MN on Saturday to begin a 3 month commitment at Beaver Trails Campground. Will be our first time in MN, looking forward to it.

Not exactly. We live in hot humid Illinois and like to go to the northwestern Rockies to work in summer. Good Luck.

We spent the winter (some of it) in Alabama Gulf SHores area and we are now workamping in Moose Pass, Alaska so I guess you could say we came north to workamp.

We worked at Beavertrails during the summer of 2006 for the original owners. We left just as the campground was in escrow and being sold to a couple from Texas. How are you liking it so far?
