sorry I asked. I guess I will just go away and eave you guys alone.

I would encourage your participation. People having "against the grain" opinions is what an internet forum is all about. Hearing all opinions about trailer brands is a good thing. Hearing all opinions about weight issues is a good thing. Hearing all opinions about tow vehicles is a good thing. You get my point. Don't run just because you accidentally hit a sore spot.

Also, it's obvious that Weekend Warrior has a strong following in So. Cal. and with the dunes people. I think what is not realized is that toyhaulers are sold in other parts of the country and for different uses. This inturn creates people with different needs. (I know this thread started as a "quality" post, but please let me digress.) For me my weedend Warrior did not fill my needs. For instance, it was poorly insulated and had poor heat flow (I camp year around in a cooler than normal climate). My Raptor head is much improved.

My point, different strokes for different folks.

Let the opinions and advice flow!

As far as the Raptor being more expensive, I think the two are priced similar. In my specific situation, I feel I got a better deal with the Raptor than my WW.

After hearing here how great they were....... I too saw my first lot of WW's at the Seattle RV show in 06. What a complete and utter disappointment!!

Like you, I posted my observations and was roundly hammered by every WW cult member in SO Cal. I'll stand by my observations after reading about how great WW's are with lawsuit's, tanks falling out, a dog being killed by falling bed, frame failures, and dozens of other significant owner reported problems. But how dare us non owner's form an opinion based from owner statements and observations. Only real WW owners can say such things!!

And lets not forget about the three exec's who are currently leaving WW.
And yes I do own one. And yes I have had and currently do have problems with mine.

My hole issue with WW is when they discovered they had issue's with their trailers, the never once notified anyone ever. Some of the issue's were big to. They just kept denying it even after several people had asked about those issue's and discussed them here, they still denyed the issue's. Sure they would fix them at no cost mostly, but if they would of just contacted us and told us the truth and apollogized for the inconvience and please bring it in so we can take care of it for you, we all would of been very appreciative and writing what a totally wonderful trailer manufacture and I recommend them highly to everyone now. Nope, instead it's more like proceed with caution now. Thinking MW may have gotten some bad advise from his legal beagles.

I am satisfied with the quality of my WW. It is built well and has a quality feel to it. I would say the same thing about the Raptors I have seen.

My WW hasn't had any problems. I really feel for the people that have had them and would definitely consider others for my next purchase. I really do like mine but also agree that the cabinets are cheesy. I may not be a good person to make these comparisons because when I bought my WW I sold a 1974 trailer. Lots of things have changed since that one was built.

I have been looking at them recently also, and I think that they actually look to be well made, at least a lot better than the Eclipse Attitude I have now, and the cracked frame issues with it that Eclipse refuses to fix.

Before purchasing our WW we checked other makes and models and we thought that Warrior was better for us and so far no regrets. I'm sure you will find a TH that will meet your needs. Either way, welcome to the TH forum and good luck.

My intent was not to stir up any crap, it was an honest question. WW are very rare here in the midwest and this was the first chance I have had to see them in person. I know they have a very loyal following on here so I was expecting more then what I saw. I know all manufactors have their problems and my Raptor was far from perfect, but there were five lined up and all five had obvious problems that were readily apparent. I was simply curious to see if anyone else noticed a recent trend. I had been seriously considering buying one until I saw these.

They keep the cream of the crop here in So Cal. all the seconds go out of state......JUST KIDDING!

I had a Weekend Warrior and had a few problems that were well taken care of and then some. I bought mine in 04 and at that time I wouldn't have even looked at another brand after being treated so well by WW. However things change, WW grew fast and pumped trailers out so fast. I think it was normal business to let the quality go and fix them up on the back end for those who brought them back? Some were great others were not. The fact that WW was one of the only makers of toyhaulers early on and helped support the sport of most their customers by starting The Action Program with CORVA was one of the reasons I purchased one.

I too am a WW owner - and let me tell you it was NOT the one I had originally wanted. my husband is a RV mechanic (for 12 years) and we had our sights set on a couple of different manufacturers (skyline and thor to be exact) but "stumbled" across an OUTSTANDING deal on a WW that came into our shop for repairs, so we bought it. and I have to tell you that I am EXTREMELY HAPPY with my TH. only after we had bought it, did I learn some things about WW. (we have a friend who was the Parts Manager here in at one of their So Cal factories)Like SAS said, quality does change because of popularity and volume, and it is the truth when he says they felt it was "easier" to fix the items - if found by the customer - after the fact than slow production. we were told most WW from 2004 and back are good, its the newer ones that are having more of the quality control issues.

So, that said, everyone has their opinion and their likes and dislikes. working for an RV service center, I have seen a lot of TH.. and if I were buying new, I would ONLY consider a thor product (Vortex is my favorite), skyline (Rampage) or a raptor. Like I said, I am a WW owner and I wouldnt buy a new one again!
