I plan on taking several two week trips this summer, with a week or two between them. The question is what to do with the fresh water tank. Fill it up after each trip? Empty it after each trip? Clean before each trip?
Your thoughts please.

I always leave what ever water is in it there and just befor leaving for a weekend I fill it up. In the spring I clean the tank and have never had any troubles.

I have city water that is chlorinated so I fill up the tank up in between trips. If it's in the tank more than 3 weeks, I dump it and refill it. When I travel, I try to carry only the minimum amount of water that I will need to reduce the weight.

I usually dump the FW tank after returning from an outing after adding a couple of gallons to the Black Tank with chemicals.

We consider it our "earthquake kit", so it's full (gas and supplies too) and ready to go within the hour after we get home.
